It comes equipped with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 170 horsepower and delivers up to 33 mpg on the highway.* Alternatively, you can opt for the Rogue’s Hybrid powertrain, which provides an eco-friendly ride, boasts 176 horsepower, and achieves up to 35 mpg on the highway.* Both engines come paired with an advanced Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Sport Mode.
The Honda CR-V comes equipped with a similar engine, featuring a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 184 horsepower and up to 32 mg on the highway, making it slightly more powerful and slightly less efficient than the Rogue’s standard engine.
Safety
Notably, the 2019 Nissan Rogue offers an array of standard, state-of-the-art driver-assistance features. It features standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Rogue also offers Nissan’s advanced ProPILOT Assist system, which maintains a set speed, keeps you centered in your lane, and helps you brake to stop.
Unfortunately, the 2019 CR-V doesn’t come with any driver-assistance features equipped as standard – you have to move up a trim level for Honda Sensing®, the automaker’s suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies.
