2019 Nissan Altima Updates

 

The all-new 2019 Nissan Altima sets a new standard in design, performance, and technology. The updated model features a dynamic driving experience that’s both thrilling and relaxing. Several segment-exclusive features help set the new Nissan Altima apart from other midsize sedans.

Performance

The sixth-generation Nissan Altima brings enhanced driving performance. Two new engines, including Nissan’s first Variable Compression Turbo, delivers exceptional performance and fuel economy.

The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine offers more performance than the previous powertrain. It produces 188 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. The updated engine features improvements in noise, vibration, and harshness. It earns up to an EPA-estimated 28 city/39 hwy mpg*.

A new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine replaced the outgoing V6 powertrain. It generates an exciting 248 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque with ease. It earns up to an EPA-estimated 25 city/34 hwy mpg, up 15 percent compared to the old V6 engine.*

Segment-Exclusive F

The 2019 Nissan Altima is the first in its class and price range to include an Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. The system is available in all models equipped with the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It uses an advanced torque split control system that distributes torque based on road conditions.

"When we look at how Altima is going to shake up the segment, all-wheel drive is a key element. Altima will be the only one to offer it of the top three best-selling midsize sedans," said Denis Le Vot of Nissan North America.

Technology
